The ROI Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily scheduling and coordination of ROI Specialists to ensure adequate staffing across all assigned facilities. Serving as a key liaison between on-site staff and leadership, the ROI Manager ensures that all Release of Information activities comply with clinic policies, as well as state and federal regulations, while being completed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily workflow of on-site ROI Specialists to maximize productivity and maintain high-quality standards.
- Reassign tasks as needed to accommodate peak workloads, staff absences, or vacancies, ensuring consistent coverage at all locations.
- Provide on-site coverage when needed due to backlog, illness, vacations, or other staffing gaps.
- Perform regular Quality Assurance audits to monitor the accuracy and timeliness of ROI processes.
- Conduct performance evaluations and productivity reviews in alignment with organizational and legal requirements.
- Manage and approve staff schedules, including monitoring paid time off and overall attendance.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment that emphasizes exceptional customer service. Treat patients, coworkers, and healthcare personnel with courtesy and respect.
- Ensure prompt and professional response to customer inquiries and needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a related healthcare field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Prior supervisory or management experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required.
