Job summary

1st St NW Technical Staffing is seeking a Controls Engineer in Minnesota for an in-office, direct-hire role. You will design and program control systems using Rockwell PLCs, develop HMI/SCADA apps (Ignition, AVEVA), and integrate plant data while working directly with clients.

Requires 3+ years in controls or system integration, Rockwell PLC programming, SCADA/HMI experience, and travel of 20–30% for Midwest commissioning. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

3+ years of controls or system integration experience.
Experience programming Rockwell PLCs.
SCADA/HMI development experience.
Control panel design and electrical troubleshooting experience.
Ability to travel 20-30% for commissioning (travel will be in the Midwest).

Responsibilities

Design and program control systems using Rockwell PLCs.

Take projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
