Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a design engineer to drive the full design cycle for Terran R structures, from concept through fabrication and testing. You will own lightweight, high‑performing load paths and collaborate with propulsion, structures, and manufacturing teams on the factory floor.

The role requires 5+ years in design engineering, a B.S. in engineering, and hands‑on experience with NX/Creo/SolidWorks, plus knowledge of structural analysis and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience with NX, Creo or SolidWorks CAD tools.
• Knowledge of structural analysis techniques and testing.

Responsibilities

• Innovative conceptualization of structural load paths and complex structures.
• Review static & dynamic load inputs, material properties, tests, and subsystem requirements.
• Analyze and size flight structures to ensure timely design reviews and drawing release.
• Develop and support hardware test campaigns, including test integration and evaluation.
• Support manufacturing process development.
