Prometheus Energetics in Bloomington, IN is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing & Process Engineer to lead the transition from startup to high-rate production of solid rocket motors and warheads.

You will own manufacturing processes, SWIs, line layouts, and specialized tooling, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Quality, EHS, and partner teams to meet safety, quality, and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 6+ years in aerospace/defense manufacturing environments.
• Proficient with 3D CAD (Creo/NX/SolidWorks) and PLM systems (Windchill).
• Solid GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5; materials strength understanding.
• Experience generating assembly routers and SWIs from complex drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to interact with leadership.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain manufacturing processes, SWIs, and routing for SRM cast/cure and assembly.
• Analyze flows, ergonomics, and line balance to boost throughput and scalability.
• Serve as primary manufacturing contact on active production lines; provide real-time guidance.
