Slip Robotics in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to design and maintain software for autonomous mobile robots. The role supports on-site or remote work, offering engagement across navigation, control, cloud connectivity, and sensor integration.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years' robotics software experience, and strong skills in Python, C++, ROS, AWS, and CI/CD. Collaboration with hardware teams and a focus on reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, Robotics, or related field.
• 2+ years of robotics software development experience.
• Expert Python and C++ for robotics.
• Experience with ROS framework.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud services.
• Experience developing sensor/electronics drivers for robots.
• Strong path planning, ML, and real-time systems skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software for autonomous mobile robots.
• Implement and optimize path planning, motion control, and obstacle avoidance.
• Integrate cloud communication services, especially AWS.
• Develop drivers and interfaces for sensors and electronics.
• Support CI/CD tooling.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams for integration.
• Apply machine learning to improve autonomy and efficiency.
• Conduct comprehensive software testing and debugging.
