Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Robotics Software Engineer for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will design, implement, and maintain software powering autonomous robots across sensor integration, perception, and motion planning, collaborating with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years in robotics software, strong C++/Python, and production ROS/ROS2 experience, with a focus on real‑time systems, sensor

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Ten or more years of robotics software engineering experience.
Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
Hands‑on experience with ROS or ROS 2 in production projects.
Solid experience with at least one of perception, localization, motion planning, or control.
Familiarity with sensor fusion and Kalman/particle filter techniques.
Experience with simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).
Strong debugging skills in real‑time and concurrent systems.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience supporting field tests and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and integrate software systems powering autonomous robots and robotic platforms.
Work across the full robotics software stack from sensor integration to high‑level perception and planning.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust, production‑grade solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code/design reviews.
