Mytra in Brisbane, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop software critical for motion control, task execution, and safety management of our robotic fleet. You will collaborate across hardware and software teams, own firmware development, and contribute to real-time embedded systems essential to performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with C/C++/Rust and system level environments.
• Strong Python experience for application and process level development.
• Ability to break down complex problems into incremental progress in CI environments.
• Experience coding in concurrent and multithreaded environments.
• Understanding of electromechanical systems, kinematics, and robotics control.
• Networking knowledge (CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP) and pub/sub like NATS.
• Understanding of how hardware changes affect software and vice-versa.
• Experience with Git and version management.
• Strong maintainability patterns in software design.
• Preferred embedded firmware experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality code across layers of the robotics software stack.
• Implement real-time code for control and safety functions.
• Identify performance and reliability of code changes.
• Contribute to full software feature life cycle from definition to rollout.
• Contribute to long-term architectural decisions as software evolves.
• Lead integration of prototype systems including bring-up, debugging, and testing.
