Job summary

Berkshire Grey is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Robotics, focused on manipulation, to enhance our robotic solutions. You will develop software enabling robots to interact with environments to perform complex tasks.

The role involves working with motion planning, kinematics, and control strategies, plus collaboration with hardware and software teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, CS, or related field.
• 4+ years in production software development.
• Strong Python development expertise.
• Experience with motion planning, kinematics, and environment representation.
• RESTful interfaces and gRPC services/clients design.
• Git, Jira, and automated testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support robotic manipulation software in production.
• Create high-performance software for motion planning, kinematics, and control.
• Extend simulation environments to test manipulation development.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and other teams to integrate systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Communicate technical priorities and status clearly.
