Job summary

Simbe Robotics is seeking a Senior Python & C++ engineer to join the robot software team working on the Tally autonomous robots. You will maintain and extend the Tally stack, develop cross-team software packages, and improve autonomy, navigation, perception, and HRI behaviors.

ROS experience and production deployment familiarity are important. Ideal candidates have strong Python/C++ skills, ROS1/ROS2 knowledge, and experience with Linux, Git, and CI/CD in production environments.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field highly recommended but not required.
• 3-10 years of industry experience.
• Extremely adept in both C++ and Python programming.
• Proficient in shell scripting, preferably with Bash and Python.
• Good understanding of ROS and ROS1/ROS2.
• Experience writing ROS nodes.
• Well-versed in Git and Ubuntu/Debian-based Linux.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and production deployment.
