Job summary

Simbe Robotics is seeking a Senior Python & C++ engineer to join our robot software team in San Francisco, CA. You will contribute to the Tally stack, affecting navigation, perception, and autonomous behaviors across our in-store robots.

You will work with ROS-based systems, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments, with exposure to cloud platforms and edge devices like Nvidia Jetson. Strong C++ and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field (highly recommended, not required).
• 5–10 years of industry experience.
• Extensive C++ and Python programming experience.
• Experience with Git and Ubuntu/Linux.
• Familiarity with ROS; ROS1/ROS2 preferred.
• Experience building ROS nodes and CI/CD workflows.
• Docker containers, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Experience managing large numbers of connected devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the Tally software stack.
• Develop new software packages shared across Simbe teams.
• Improve autonomy, navigation, perception, and HRI behaviors.
• Assist in DevOps and CI/CD development.
• Evaluate third-party software packages for integration.
