Qualifications

• 5+ years building robotics software deployed in real-world robots.
• Experience with behavior architecture at production scale.
• Strong C++ and Python with maintainable code practices.
• Ability to debug across the full robotics stack using logs and replay.
• Experience integrating learned/ probabilistic components into larger systems.

Responsibilities

• Architecture across the stack: define interfaces and patterns for perception, autonomy, controls, and systems software to compose into reliable robot behavior.
• Build the behavioral core: translate goals and robot state into coordinated action and manage competing priorities.
• Enable increasingly intelligent behavior: infrastructure for context, history, environmental understanding, and user intent.
• Own system-level safety: preconditions, timeouts, fallbacks, and recovery for misbehaving models or subsystems.
• Hunt systemic issues: latency, timing, resource contention, cascading failures across module boundaries.
• Multiply the team: set interface contracts with controls, SLAM, and systems engineers; raise architectural bar.
