Job summary

Persona AI is building a rugged humanoid platform to augment the industrial workforce. As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer - Autonomy, you will design and implement the autonomy stack from simulation to shop floor deployment, enabling safe, reliable operation on real-world tasks such as welding, grinding, and inspection.

You will work with teams across perception, manipulation, and planning to translate objectives into executable behaviors, train and evaluate world models, and validate

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional robotics experience with emphasis on autonomy.
• 2+ years applying world models to planning and scene understanding.
• Proficiency with Python and C++, git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomy and behavior coordination algorithms for an industrial humanoid platform
• Collaborate with manipulation, locomotion, and perception teams to integrate robot skills
• Develop plan execution approaches combining classical control and learned policies
• Create reactive, safe, adaptable, and explainable behavior execution
• Build data curation pipelines for real-world task understanding
• Develop synthetic data generation pipelines for world model training
• Establish autonomous behavior evaluation, benchmarking, and regression testing
