Job summary

Dexmate is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead new product introduction for robot subsystems and final assembly. You will turn prototypes into production-ready hardware, working closely with mechanical, electrical, test, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and quality.

You will oversee design reviews, pilot builds, and manufacturing handoff, driving DFM/DFA optimizations and production readiness through initial ramp and scale-up.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI, or hardware industrialization for robotics or similar electromechanical products.
• Owned at least one product or major electromechanical assembly from engineering prototypes through pilot builds into repeatable production.
• Strong DFM/DFA experience with improvements in yield, cost, or lead time.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC, casting, sheet metal, injection molding, and finishing and their tradeoffs.
• Strong GD&T, tolerancing, and 3D CAD skills for design reviews and fixture development.
• Hands-on experience creating assembly processes, tooling, and build acceptance criteria.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and production technicians to resolve issues.
• Ability to coordinate technical decisions across design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing readiness for robot subsystems and final assembly through design reviews, builds, pilot production, and handoff.
• Drive DFM/DFA reviews for structures, mechanisms, actuators, and electromechanical systems with design teams.
• Select and qualify manufacturing processes with suppliers, evaluating drawings and inspection requirements.
• Define assembly process flows, BOMs, routings, and work instructions aligned with designs.
• Plan and lead engineering and pilot builds, manage materials, tooling, and documentation; track issues and actions.
• Develop fixtures, tooling, and processes for precise alignment, preload, and harness integration.
• Coordinate with test/firmware teams to integrate calibration and in-process checks.
• Resolve first-article discrepancies and drive corrective actions across design and supplier bases.
• Lead manufacturing readiness reviews with cross-functional teams and implement engineering changes.
