Job summary

Dexmate Inc. is seeking a hands-on engineering leader to own the robot-side firmware, control and planning stack, teleoperation systems, and the supporting processes needed to deploy reliable robotic systems in the field.

This role combines deep embedded engineering with operational leadership and cross-functional collaboration with hardware and software teams. You will drive root-cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, and firmware domains, build escalation and training programs, and

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics engineering with dynamics, kinematics, control theory, and state estimation.
• Experience owning a shipped hardware product post-launch: field root-cause analysis and firmware releases.
• Hands-on: writes and reviews production firmware/controls code regularly.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and roadmap for robot-side firmware: real-time control loops and low-level software.
• Lead the control and planning stack: locomotion, manipulation, whole-body control, and real-time systems.
• Lead sustaining engineering for the deployed product line, including extending capabilities.
• Own the teleoperation system: remote control interfaces and data pipelines.
• Build and manage the customer support team with escalation paths and processes.
• Turn customer feedback and fleet data into prioritized engineering work for releases.
