Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Robotics Kinematics Engineer to join the Horizon Robotics Team. You will develop and own kinematics algorithms for 6+ DoF robotic systems and maintain a shared calibration and motion modelling backbone from design to deployment.

Ideal candidates have a BS (MS preferred), 5+ years in robotics kinematics, strong C++, Linux, ROS experience, and familiarity with industrial metrology tools.

Qualifications

• BS required; MS preferred in Robotics/Control Systems/CS or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing kinematics algorithms for robotic systems.
• Strong expertise in robot kinematic modeling and calibration using metrology hardware.
• Proficiency in C++, Linux, and Python; experience with ROS.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced kinematics algorithms for 6+ DoF robotic systems with real-time performance.
• Own and maintain the kinematics library shared across robotics software products.
• Develop and maintain calibration tools and methodologies for robot calibration workflows.
• Serve as SME for robot kinematics, motion modeling, and multi-axis synchronization.
