Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Systems Robotics Engineer to advance automation for our Horizon Manufacturing Technology robotics platform. You will design and implement robotic control systems, real-time software, and safety-critical solutions for production and R&D.

Collaborating with engineers across propulsion, software, and manufacturing, you’ll own projects from concept to deployment, ensure robust operation of robot cells, and contribute to groundbreaking additive

Qualifications

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field, or extensive hands-on experience.
3+ years of experience in robotics control systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and standard ISO norms.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and lead development projects for new devices and motion systems.
Commission EtherCAT networks and safety systems using TwinCAT and TwinSAFE.
Configure Kuka robot systems and set up SafeOp and I/O.
Calibrate and verify robot cell operation with metrology systems.
Support robot cell operation for production and R&D, debugging code and adjusting configurations.
