Job summary

BluFeather Solutions seeks a Senior Engineering / Lab Technical Lead to advance physical AI and robotic platforms. You will design, build, test, troubleshoot, and improve hardware end-to-end for prototype robotics in an onsite environment.

You will develop test plans, create fixtures, perform PCB bring-up, and diagnose CAN/EtherCAT/RS-485 communication issues while leading reliability testing and calibration records.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on hardware development or systems integration.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience reading schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
• Design, build, and validate hardware test benches.
• Strong debugging of CAN, EtherCAT, RS-485 communications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate test benches for prototype robotic hardware.
• Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and validation procedures.
• Build custom fixtures, jigs, test setups.
• Perform PCB bring-up, debugging, and hardware integration.
• Troubleshoot CAN, EtherCAT, RS-485 issues.
• Own root cause analysis and hardware failure investigations.
• Design and execute reliability/environmental testing.
• Maintain calibration records and test equipment certification.
