Job summary

BluFeather Solutions seeks a Senior Engineering / Lab Technical Lead to advance physical AI and robotic platforms. You will design, build, test, troubleshoot, and improve hardware end-to-end for prototype robotics in an onsite environment.

You will develop test plans, create fixtures, perform PCB bring-up, and diagnose CAN/EtherCAT/RS-485 communication issues while leading reliability testing and calibration records.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on hardware development or systems integration.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience reading schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings.
• Design, build, and validate hardware test benches.
• Strong debugging of CAN, EtherCAT, RS-485 communications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate test benches for prototype robotic hardware.

• Build custom fixtures, jigs, test setups.

We are looking for a Senior Engineering / Lab Technical Lead to join a team working on physical AI and next-generation robotic platforms.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who can design, build, test, troubleshoot, and improve hardware systems end-to-end.

Work Environment: Fully Onsite

• Design, build, and operate test benches for prototype robotic hardware
• Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and validation procedures
• Build custom fixtures, jigs, and test setups
• Perform PCB bring-up, debugging, and hardware integration
• Integrate actuators, sensors, compute modules, and power distribution systems
• Troubleshoot CAN, EtherCAT, and RS-485 communication issues
• Own root cause analysis and hardware failure investigations
• Design and execute reliability/environmental testing
• Maintain calibration records and test equipment certification
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in hardware development, test engineering, or systems integration
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience with electronic test equipment and component/system-level debugging
• Ability to read electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings
• Experience building test benches and custom test fixtures from scratch
