The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in robotics or automation, proficiency with CAD tools, and travel ~25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in mechanical design, ideally robotics or automation.
• Experience mentoring technicians or junior engineers on shop floor.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and understanding of prototyping.
• Willingness to travel ~25% and work on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and components for AI-driven robots and create 3D models and fabrication drawings.
• Optimize designs for cost, efficiency and manufacturability; run mechanical simulations and tests.
• Collaborate with electrical/software teams for seamless integration.
• Translate designs into clear build instructions and guide fabrication and assembly.
• Mentor technicians on design principles and best shop floor practices.
• Coordinate with vendors and procurement on fabrication lead times and quality.
