Dexmate is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to own the low-level firmware stack powering our general-purpose robots. You will architect, implement, test, and release production firmware for actuator controllers, sensing systems, power electronics, and real-time communication devices.

This hands-on role spans MCU selection, board bring-up, BSP and driver development to real-time control, system diagnostics, validation, and deployment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of embedded firmware in robotics or related fields.
• Strong C/C++ skills in bare-metal and RTOS environments.
• Experience with MCU families (ARM Cortex-M, STM32, Nordic, TI).
• Motor-control or actuator firmware experience.
• Driver work for EtherCAT, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART.
• Board bring-up and debugging across firmware/hardware.

Mansioni

• Architect and develop production-grade firmware for actuators and sensors.
• Own firmware architecture across bootloaders, BSPs, and drivers.
• Bring up and validate new PCBs, including peripheral init and clocks.
• Implement real-time firmware on bare-metal and RTOS platforms.
• Develop motor-control firmware: current, torque, velocity, position.
• Maintain real-time comms stacks (EtherCAT, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART).
• Build firmware safety, diagnostics, and fault handling.
• Create observability and diagnostics to measure firmware behavior.
• Develop automated tests and CI/CD for firmware.
• Support manufacturing and production troubleshooting.
• Review schematics and contribute to hardware reviews.
• Debug cross-domain interactions with hardware and software.
