Job summary

Treeswift is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to advance perception, mapping, sensor fusion, and calibration. You will influence SLAM with evolving sensors and drive large-scale scene consistency for field operations.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in robotics perception, are proficient in C++ and Python, and can calibrate sensors (intrinsic/extrinsic) including data-driven methods. The role offers hybrid work across major offices in the US.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in perception for robotics.
• Proficient in C++ and Python with SLAM experience.
• Experience with extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including automated calibration.
• Ground-based LiDAR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve product quality across diverse operating conditions, lead SLAM development with new sensor evolutions.
• Accelerate delivery by advancing sensor fusion and calibration for multi-user, multi-session maps.
• Eliminate reliance on extrinsic measurements and improve data quality at the source.
• Role is hybrid: 2–3 days in office at New York, Philadelphia, or San Francisco offices.
