Merck is seeking a Senior Robotics Engineer to advance our Regulated Bioanalytics automation. The role focuses on end-to-end lab automation, integration of robotics, and support across a new West Point facility, with on-site work required.

Responsibilities include developing and validating automation, coordinating with vendors, and empowering researchers to transfer assays to robotic platforms while meeting project timelines.

Qualifications

• Automation, robotics, liquid handling, software, and electro-mechanical expertise for continuous improvement of technical competency.
• Experience integrating laboratory instrumentation from vendor platforms and troubleshooting in regulated environments.
• Ability to build strong relationships with site leaders and stakeholders; capable of independent work.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, testing, and validation of novel automation platforms.
• Coordinate with Safety and Facilities for installation requirements.
• Provide lab automation support and optimize workflows to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure on-site performance.
