Job summary

HL Mando America Corporation in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks an Electrical Engineer III – Controls and Electrical Hardware Design to lead design, development, and optimization of advanced robotic actuator systems across lifecycle.

The role focuses on selecting sensors, developing actuator control architectures, designing hardware and firmware, and ensuring integration with CAN, EtherCAT, and other protocols, with teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in electrical product development and design.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical control systems for robotic actuators and electromechanical systems.
• Develop embedded firmware and software for real-time motion control and sensor integration.
• Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support prototype development, production, and system integration.
• Troubleshoot electrical, EMI/EMC, and reliability issues and implement corrective actions.
