Job summary

Seegrid is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead for the Planning and Execution Team. You will be the technical anchor for a small team of senior engineers, balancing architecture with hands-on code ownership in production-grade C++ navigation primitives.

You will mentor engineers, partner with a TPM, and spend significant time on high-impact development while ensuring integration with Perception, Fleet, and Truck Applications Software. This is a remote position reporting to the VP of Robotics.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in robotics, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven mentoring of junior/senior engineers.
• Strong C++ and Python with ROS/ROS2 experience.
• Hands-on autonomy domain knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD and software deployment.
• Safety-critical software experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction for a production-grade C++ navigation stack.
• Mentor a team of software engineers and manage sprint planning.
• Ensure high engineering standards with unit, module, and system tests.
• Collaborate with Perception, Fleet, and Applications to deliver navigation solutions.
