Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Spring House, PA, is seeking an Experienced Automation and Robotics Engineer to design and integrate robotic workcells, connect instruments, sensors, and control systems for reliable automated workflows.

The role involves hands-on engineering, FAT/SAT execution, safety reviews, and vendor coordination. Travel may be required; a Bachelor's in engineering with 3+ years in automation/robotics is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronic, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
• 3+ years in automation/robotics/controls or related experience preferred.
• Strong ability to translate scientific workflow constraints into safe, maintainable machinery.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy robotic workcells, transfer stations, fixtures, guards, and automated peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and improve mechanical, electrical, robotic, and control systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and lab scientists to ensure safety and reliability.
• Contribute to interface definitions, FAT/SAT/UAT and documentation.
