Job summary

Cindavi is seeking an Automation & Robotics Specialist for our high-volume automotive plant in Warren, Michigan. You will take partially developed automation systems and bring them to full plant readiness, optimize performance, and hand off to production support teams.

You will lead PLC/HMI and robotics programming, integrate vision, motion and safety systems, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance and suppliers to deliver stable, reliable automation with measurable gains in cycle time,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proficient ladder-logic programming and controls fundamentals.
• 3–4 years automation experience, 5+ years preferred.
• Experience in automotive/high-volume JIT manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Launch, integrate, commission, and stabilize automated manufacturing equipment.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, vision systems, conveyance, motion, safety systems, and torque tools.
• Improve cycle time, throughput, quality, uptime, robot paths, sequencing, alarms, interlocks, and recovery routines.
• Apply structured root-cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures and deliver sustainable corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, production, suppliers, and integrators, then train sustainment teams and complete a reliable handoff.

Job Summary

We are hiring an Automation & Robotics Specialist to help shape the future of automation at our high-volume automotive manufacturing plant in Warren, Michigan.

This is not a role where you will spend every day reacting to production calls. You will take automation systems that have been partially developed by advanced manufacturing teams or integrators, bring them to full plant readiness, optimize their performance, and create a stable handoff to the teams supporting production. One specialist will support our Ford operations, and the other will support our RAM operations.

Duties

• Launch, integrate, commission, and stabilize automated manufacturing equipment.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, vision systems, conveyance, motion, safety systems, and torque tools.
• Improve cycle time, throughput, quality, uptime, robot paths, sequencing, alarms, interlocks, and recovery routines.
• Apply structured root-cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures and deliver sustainable corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, production, suppliers, and integrators, then train sustainment teams and complete a reliable handoff.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong ladder-logic programming and controls fundamentals.
• Hands-on industrial robotics programming, integration, optimization, or troubleshooting experience.
• Balanced capability across PLC/HMI controls and robotics rather than a narrow focus in only one discipline.
• At least three to four years of relevant automation experience, with five or more years preferred.
• Experience in automotive, off-highway, stamping, metals, or another high-volume JIT manufacturing environment.

Rockwell and FANUC experience is preferred, but it is not required. Strong Siemens, KUKA, Motoman, ABB, or similar experience can translate when the technical fundamentals are there.
