Job summary

Intuitive is a leader in robotic-assisted surgery. As a Systems Analyst (Robotic Control Engineer) you will develop and tune algorithms for the Ion Endoluminal System and build tools to support rapid iteration.

You will collaborate across hardware and software teams, perform testing and modeling, and contribute to product improvements with rigorous analysis. A PhD or MS in robotics and 5+ years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

C/C++ and Matlab programming skills. Knowledge of Python is a plus.
Demonstrate sound engineering judgment and technical skills in problem solving – both software and hardware
Experience in hardware and software integration of complex electromechanical systems
Demonstrate intuitive understanding of mechanical phenomena with ability to do rigorous modeling and analysis.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to collaborate across disciplines and work autonomously when necessary.
PhD (preferred) or MS in robotics-related field.
Preferred 5+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

Evaluate complex electro-mechanical devices for dynamic safety and clinical risk.
Design software algorithms for new products and existing field products.
Design software tools and infrastructure that enable research and development of new algorithms.
Perform comprehensive testing to ensure the quality and performance of algorithms.
Facilitate mechanical, hardware, and software integration of new products.
Document and pursue intellectual property.
Improve group workflow through building tools and teaching others.
Support and track system performance as it moves from design to manufacturing.
