Job summary

Intuitive is a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery. The Ion Endoluminal System supports minimally invasive biopsy with enhanced precision.

We seek a Systems Analyst who will develop, tune, and debug key robotic control algorithms and contribute to tooling and software infrastructure for ongoing innovation. As a senior member, you will work on both control algorithms and interdisciplinary product improvements, collaborating across engineering and clinical teams to advance the Ion platform

Qualifications

Completion or current enrollment in a Doctorate-level program in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics; Masters-level considered with relevant experience.
4+ years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Apply control theory to design and verification of mechatronic and robotic systems.
Bring-up distributed electro-mechanical systems for experimentation.
Validate and iterate on simulated dynamic models through targeted experiments.
Design experiments to untangle dependencies and drive understanding of key relationships.
Design software algorithms for new products and existing field products.
Design software tools and infrastructure for analysis and development of new algorithms.
Perform comprehensive testing to ensure algorithm quality and performance.
Facilitate mechanical, hardware, and software integration of new products.
Document and pursue intellectual property.
