Job summary

Consor Engineers is seeking a Senior Roadway Project Manager to lead complex transportation projects across Utah, focusing on roadway design oversight, PS&E, and multidisciplinary coordination. This role combines project management with technical leadership to deliver high-quality plans and deliverables for highways, interchanges, and local roadways.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in roadway engineering, a PE license (Utah preferred or reciprocity), and strong experience with OpenRoads,

Qualifications

• 12+ years in roadway or transportation engineering.
• Proven experience leading roadway design teams or segments.
• PE license (Utah preferred or reciprocity).
• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads, MicroStation, InRoads or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of roadway design standards (AASHTO, UDOT).
• Experience delivering PS&E packages for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway and transportation projects from scoping through final design and delivery.
• Serve as project manager and technical lead for high-quality roadway design and documentation.
• Oversee plan production for highways, interchanges, and local roadways.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (drainage, structures, traffic, utilities, environmental).
• Provide QA/QC for PS&E and related documents.
• Support design-build pursuits and ATCs.
• Interface with clients (UDOT, municipalities).
• Present technical deliverables and design approaches.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships.
