Job summary

You will lead project delivery teams, review designs, and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants on large highway projects. Proficiency with Open Roads Designer is required; AutoCAD Civil3D is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of roadway design experience for highways and streets.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering; licensed as a PE in Utah or able to obtain within six months.
• Hybrid work option; Salt Lake City area preferred.
• Open Roads Designer experience; AutoCAD Civil3D a plus.
• Experience on UDOT/local agency transportation projects preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, assign, and review project delivery team work; identify scope changes and additional services.
• Serve as a Task Lead/Design Engineer on large highway, bridge, or trail projects with multiple disciplines.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with West Region leads on regional projects.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and design calculations; support all aspects of engineering projects.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and contribute to QA/QC program development for transportation projects.
• Assist with project scoping and fee estimating for design contracts.
• Contribute to write-ups and exhibits for technical and risk considerations on proposals.

Education

B.S. in Civil Engineering
