Job summary

The Nevada Department of Transportation in Winnemucca, NV is hiring a Highway Maintenance Manager to oversee district highway maintenance operations, including planning, budgeting, staffing, safety, and equipment programs, in compliance with laws and policies. Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent; two years of supervisory highway maintenance experience.
• Ability to plan, budget, staff and supervise district maintenance programs.
• Experience interpreting federal and state highway safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct major highway maintenance programs and budgets.
• Inspect roadways and equipment; prepare cost estimates.
• Supervise staff including Highway Maintenance Supervisors and maintenance workers.
• Coordinate with public officials and other agencies regarding maintenance concerns.
• Ensure environmental compliance and oversee safety programs.
