Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer, Technical Manager with strong leadership and deep civil/roadway design expertise. You will guide mid-size to multiple concurrent projects, manage budgets, and ensure quality control.

You will work with a Southeast Transportation Team on innovative transportation solutions for North Carolina and the region, mentoring staff and collaborating across disciplines while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
10+ years of post-education engineering and civil design experience.
Professional engineer license required.
Familiarity with AASHTO and NCDOT Design Guidelines and Standards.
Proficiency in civil design, permitting, and project delivery.
Experience with rehabilitation and reconstruction projects.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver mid-level or concurrent roadway projects.
Develop layouts, plans, specs, and estimates for roadways and related facilities.
Coordinate with owners, sub-consultants, and clients for project success.
Apply corridor modeling techniques and data analysis during design.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Ensure QA/QC and compliance with codes and standards.
Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
