Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC, seeks a Senior Roadway Engineer, Technical Manager to lead cross-functional teams in civil/roadway design and plans production for traditional and alternative delivery projects.

The role focuses on mentoring staff, delivering high-quality design and construction documents, and collaborating with Transportation experts across the Southeast region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field, required.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Engineer license required.
• Familiarity with AASHTO and NCDOT Design Guidelines and Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to execute mid-level and concurrent projects with budgets, hours, and materials/labor tracking.
• Review and develop roadways layouts, plans, specs, and estimates for new or widened road projects.
• Coordinate with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients on projects.
• Demonstrate advanced corridor modeling techniques and problem-solving during project development.
• Prepare data visualizations and technical reports to present findings and recommendations.
