Job summary

Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) in Blacksburg, VA seeks a Senior Roadway Engineer (Team Lead) to oversee a growing team of roadway professionals and deliver complex transportation projects to standards.

You'll mentor engineers, perform QA/QC reviews, guide project delivery, and collaborate with project managers and clients to drive technical excellence and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6-10 years of roadway engineering and transportation design experience.
• Virginia PE license required (or ability to obtain Virginia licensure quickly if licensed in another state).
• Strong knowledge of VDOT standards, project delivery processes, and roadway design best practices.
• Experience leading technical design efforts, conducting plan reviews, and performing QA/QC.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer and/or MicroStation required.

Lead the Future of Virginia's Transportation with RDA

Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Roadway Engineer (Team Lead) to lead and develop a team of roadway professionals within our new Blacksburg, Virginia office.

In this role, you'll provide technical oversight on complex transportation projects while also overseeing staff performance, mentoring engineers, and helping shape the future growth of the team. This position is ideal for a roadway leader who is passionate about both engineering excellence and people development.
