Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) in Blacksburg, VA seeks a Roadway Engineer (Technical Lead) to join our Transportation team. Lead roadway design, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders on Virginia projects.

You will design infrastructure, prepare calculations and construction documents, and work with teams to deliver high-quality solutions while expanding your leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of transportation or roadway engineering experience.
• Virginia PE license or EIT with PE within one year.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes preferred.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation required.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Rinker Design Associates, LLC (RDA) is seeking a motivated Roadway Engineer (Technical Lead) to join our growing Transportation team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys roadway design and is looking to take the next step into technical leadership and mentoring.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful transportation projects throughout Virginia while helping develop junior engineers and helping grow RDA's presence in the region.

$5K-$10K Sign-On Bonus

What You'll Do:

• Design transportation infrastructure: Develop roadway designs, plan sets, and supporting documentation for VDOT and local agency projects.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.

• Virginia PE license or EIT with the ability to obtain PE licensure within one year.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes preferred.
