Job summary

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced roadway engineer in our Virginia, Maryland, and DC office locations. You will serve as design lead on DOT and municipal projects, prepare designs, cost estimates, construction documents, manage budgets and schedules, and lead business development in the Mid-Atlantic.

Candidates should have a BS in civil engineering, 12+ years experience, and PE license with ability to obtain

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
• A minimum of twelve (12) years of industry related experience.
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a design lead for Department of Transportation and/or municipal transportation improvement projects.
• Prepare and review designs, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway projects.
• Prepare construction documents including stamping finalized plans for roadway projects.
• Ensure transportation group and Mead & Hunt policies and procedures are followed.
• Prepare task and contract technical and price proposals.
• Manage project and contracts deliverables, budget and schedules.
• Lead business development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Other civil engineering projects in other locations as needed.
