Job summary

Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Mid/Senior Roadway Engineer to join the Transportation team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves designing and developing transportation projects that improve community mobility, collaborating with various stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in transportation design, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and proficiency in MicroStation. Join us for a supportive team culture and excellent benefits, including a $10K sign-on bonus!

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in transportation design and/or project management.
• PE license in Virginia or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Familiarity with VDOT standards and project delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop transportation projects including roads and traffic management.
• Collaborate with planners, engineers, contractors, and public agencies.
• Assist with project management activities such as scheduling and cost estimation.
• Prepare engineering designs and documentation that align with VDOT standards.
• Support and mentor junior team members while upholding high technical standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
