Job summary

Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Senior Roadway Engineer (Team Lead) to lead a team in Blacksburg, VA. You will oversee roadway design, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality project delivery in line with VDOT standards.

The role requires 6–10 years in roadway engineering, a Virginia PE license (or ability to obtain), and strong leadership. A sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits accompany the base compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design efforts: oversee roadway plans, specs, estimates, and deliverables.
• Manage and develop staff: provide leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching for direct reports.
• Perform technical oversight: conduct plan reviews and QA/QC for high-quality delivery.
