Job summary

Quigg Engineering Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Boise, ID team as a Roadway Designer. The role focuses on planning and design of roadway projects with opportunities to lead complex transportation initiatives.

The position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and licensure or active pursuit of Idaho licensure. Proficiency in Microstation and related tools is preferred, with a collaborative, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Idaho professional licensure is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience, preferably with transportation projects.
• Ability to lead a project and direct junior staff.
• Ability to act as lead roadway designer on multi-discipline projects.
• Experience with Illinois DOT, Tollway, or local agencies preferred.
• Proficiency in Microstation/Geopak SS10/Connect/ORD is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Traffic Signal Design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Planning and design of roadway and related projects.
• Preparation of Phase I roadway studies.
• Preparation of Phase II roadway plans, specs, and estimates.
• Preparation of stormwater drainage studies and final drainage plans.
• Interact with junior staff and with public and private clients.
