A civil engineering and surveying firm is seeking a dynamic Construction Inspector to join their team full-time. This role involves daily inspections of roadways and bridges, producing detailed reports, and ensuring adherence to contract documents. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of construction inspection experience, preferably with Illinois DOT, and a high school diploma or GED. Qualifications

• 3-5 years of construction inspection in roadway or bridge projects.
• Working knowledge of DOT road and bridge specifications.
• IDOT materials certifications (HMA, PCC, Aggregate) required.
• IDOT material certifications (HMA, PCC, Aggregate) preferred.
• Ability to perform standard material testing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specs, and drawings.
• Capable of multitasking on fast-paced projects.
• Assist in preparing final close-out documents.
• Effective coordination with contractors, clients, and staff.
• Experience with ICORS or CMMS software; MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities
