Kimley-Horn’s Orlando, FL office seeks a Roadway Civil Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Roadway team. You will draft and manage roadway drawings using MicroStation and OpenRoads, perform quality checks, and mentor CAD staff.

The role emphasizes independent work, collaboration, and adherence to Kimley-Horn’s design standards while contributing to project schedules and client goals. Orlando offers a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with OpenRoads and/or MicroStation.
• Associates degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley products.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage drafting and plan standards using MicroStation and OpenRoads.
• Develop technical drawings for Roadway Civil Design projects.
• Quality check drawings of substantial complexity and run calculations as needed.
• Provide minimal supervision to day-to-day tasks and mentor CAD staff.
• Coordinate work to meet schedules and maintain quality control.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
