Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer Roadway Design to join the Florida team. The role supports design and post-design for roadway and drainage plans across multiple Florida offices, including Coral Gables. The candidate leads production teams and collaborates with clients and agencies.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, a Florida PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, and 10+ years in transportation roadway design. Office-based with some field work, full-time, in Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in transportation roadway design.

Responsibilities

• Design and post-design efforts on roadway and drainage plans.
• Engineer roadway and drainage design for tolled, interstate, rural and urban projects.
• Lead production teams in roadway plans preparation and development.
• Provide geometric analysis and establish design criteria and procedures.
• Review plans for scope and standards compliance.
• May review and seal own projects.
• Interact with Stantec clients.
• Develop or review policies and procedures for FDOT standards.
