Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking an experienced Roadway Design Engineer - Project Manager to support our Transportation Practice in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on managing scope, fees, profitability, and client relationships across transportation projects.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with sub-consultants, and contribute to sales efforts while upholding PMI practices. A PE license and DOT experience strongly shape success in this leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• P.E. license required; Ohio PE preferred; OH PE within first year of hire.
• At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.
• Experience on DOT design projects required; experience with multiple DOTs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, fees, and profitability of projects and portfolios.
• Serve as the point of contact with clients as project manager.
• Assist in new sales with clients for whom you manage projects.
• Coordinate internal transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients.
• Oversee PMI knowledge areas across project phases.
• Support Deputy Operations Manager in PM best practices.
