Job summary

DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Roadway Department in Ohio. You will design and manage transportation projects, deliver plans and cost estimates, and coordinate with clients and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have 8–15 years of civil design experience, strong software skills (Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D), and the ability to mentor junior staff. PE preferred or EI with PE timeline.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• PE license preferred or EI with ability to obtain PE within 6 months.
• Experience in roadway design and project management for transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager and/or lead design engineer on projects.
• Deliver multiple tasks for various leads while meeting deadlines and budget.
• Design tasks include pavement design, horizontal/vertical design, drainage and BMP design, cost estimation.
• Prepare construction plans, design detailing, cost estimates, drainage calculations and reports.
• Oversee entry-level engineers and budgeting of tasks.
• Engage in client meetings and proposals.
