DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC in Maumee, OH is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to strengthen the Roadway Department. You will lead design efforts, manage multiple tasks, and ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints.

The role requires 8-15 years in civil design, strong CAD skills (Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D) and collaboration with project teams. The firm offers a supportive environment with professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• PE license preferred or Engineering Intern (EI) with ability to obtain PE within 6 months.
• 8–15 years of experience in civil design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Manager and/or lead design engineer on roadway projects.
• Deliver multiple tasks on schedule and within budget for various leads.
• Design tasks include pavement, horizontal/vertical design, drainage and BMP systems.
• Prepare construction plans, design detailing, cost estimates and reports.
• Mentor entry level engineers and assist in budget management.
• Engage in client meetings, RFIs, and proposal development.
• Coordinate with department head on progress, schedule and budget.
• Ensure CAD standards per DOT and local agency requirements.
• Participate in industry events and related marketing activities.
