Job summary

Fenstermaker in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation projects for public and private clients. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum with a major Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in civil/transportation engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and analysis of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Develop roadway design components including horizontal/vertical geometry, drainage, and traffic operations.
• Prepare design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Support roadway design for state DOT, municipal, and parish projects.
• Perform engineering calculations, modeling, and technical analysis.
• Prepare design plans using MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar CAD tools.
• Support preparation of permit applications, technical reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients throughout the project life cycle.
