Job summary

Bluewing Civil Consulting, LLC seeks a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana to lead civil design teams and act as Engineer‑of‑Record on municipal and public‑works projects in the Lafayette area. The role supports two development tracks: Hybrid PM/Designer and Dedicated Design Professional.

The candidate should balance hands‑on design with project management, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients, sub‑consultants, and permitting agencies. PDHs and training are provided.

Qualifications

• PE licensure in Louisiana or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong civil design and water-resource management skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or similar CAD tools.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modelling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil design, analysis, plans/reports, and permitting for municipal and public-works projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to EIs, designers, and sub-consultants.
• Lead discussions with owners, clients, and agencies; summarize decisions and action items.
• Manage project documentation, schedules, workflows, and QA/QC.
• Maintain initiative and stay current with modelling practices and standards.
