Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing client in Ohio seeks an experienced Roadway Design Engineer to lead transportation design from concept through construction-ready plans on a variety of roadway projects. The ideal candidate has strong roadway design expertise and a background working with state DOT standards, with a PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months.

Responsibilities include data collection, alignment development, MOT planning, and corridor modeling, plus CAD work using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience.
• Ohio PE license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with ODOT requirements.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles.
• Experience in roadway design including cost estimating and bid documents.
• Working knowledge of transportation design standards.
• Proficiency with MicroStation; ORD a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, GIS, SignCAD, or AutoTurn a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation design from concept through construction-ready plans.
• Develop horizontal and vertical roadway alignments.
• Create MOT and traffic control plans.
• Build and maintain roadway corridor models.
• Prepare cost estimates for projects and participate in bid preparation.
