Metric Geo is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join its transportation team in Columbus, Ohio. This role focuses on leading design and delivery of roadway infrastructure with emphasis on ODOT and City of Columbus projects.

The ideal candidate has a PE license and strong experience in OpenRoads Designer, roundabout design, and drainage. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver quality projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Develop roadway plans, alignments, profiles, grading and related design elements.
• Apply ODOT design standards, specifications and requirements throughout delivery.
• Utilize OpenRoads Designer for roadway design and plan development.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors and other disciplines.
• Support projects through design development, reviews and construction documentation.
• Perform technical reviews and ensure designs meet standards and quality.
• Contribute to storm sewer, drainage and related roadway design.

We are representing an established engineering consultancy in the search for a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join its transportation team in Columbus, Ohio.

This is an opportunity for an experienced roadway engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on ODOT and City of Columbus roadway projects.

The ideal candidate will bring strong roadway design experience, a Professional Engineer (PE) license, and proficiency with OpenRoads Designer. Experience with roundabout design, storm sewer/drainage and mentoring junior engineers would be highly valued.
