Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Roadway Design Engineer to join our Roadway Team in the United States. You will contribute to planning and design of roadway infrastructure projects including intersections, arterials, expressways, interchanges, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will work with DOT and municipal clients, develop detailed drawings, perform geometric design, ensure quality control, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 6 years of roadway design experience, including DOT projects.
• PE licensure with ability to obtain KY PE licensure within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Define project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables for roadway design projects.
• Perform roadway design for DOT projects using CAD tools (MicroStation, OpenRoads).
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and design reports.
• Conduct geometric design including alignments and pavement design.
• Ensure quality control and reviews per Arcadis standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.
